23 weeks

The nursery is PAINTED! The green turned out a little bright but I think with the dark furniture it will tone down a little bit. Corey said he would set the crib up on Friday so once that is done I will post pictures.

Here is the belly!

Notice the green walls, even though it doens't look green here.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Painting

Corey started painting the nursery! He had to work this weekend so he didn't get far but it is trimmed out and when he gets back he plans to finish it up. So by the end of the day her room will be green instead of blue. AND tomorrow's belly picture will be up against a green wall instead of a blue wall. He also said he would set the crib up on Friday and I ordered the mattress yesterday so before long I will be able to make her bed and decide where I want to put all the furniture.

Corey and I re-joined the gym today. He gets a free membership through his new job and to add me it's only $9 a month so really how can we not justify going to the gym with that deal. We both realized just how out of shape we really are. I made it 20 minutes on the treadmill at an incline and 10 minutes on the bike (2.5 miles!). Really, we both need to get back in shape so we are excited to get moving. I'm sure we will venture out again tomorrow to slowly work back into it.

22 Weeks

So yes this is kind of late but I have been a little busy with the Holiday. I've been feeling really good lately but I'm still so tired. I have yet to get any 2nd trimester energy. At least I have been able to keep up on the laundry which is saying a lot. I still can't make myself make dinner yet. I'm just so tired by that time of day.

Santa(our families) were so good to us this year. We got our PnP, swing, diaper pail, a frame that has an opening for each of the baby's first 12 months, some little headbands and of course my mom got her a pair of sunglasses! I also got some things for the kitchen(maybe that will make me want to make dinner), some lotion and body wash, a KURV, a planner, some sweatpants, and gloves. It was definetly a good Christmas but I can't wait for next year. Corey and I were talking on Christmas morning about how fun it will be to get to play Santa next year and then watch/help our daughter open her gifts.

Here is this week's picture.

My belly is rounding out that is for sure. Not really in this picture, but my belly is starting dwarf my massive boobs! :)
Next week hopefully this wall will be a different color. Corey primed the room today but he has to work all weekend so it probably won't get painted until next week, hopefully Monday!

21 Weeks

Our bedding came today! It is so cute, I can't wait to be able to make the little bed and just wait for her to get here. Our nursery furniture is being delivered sometime between 9-11am tomorrow! Now if I could just get Corey to paint the bedroom.

Here are my 21 week belly pictures. My belly is definetly getting bigger. I'm going to do a bare belly comparison between this week and week 5! I'm sure it will be astonishing!

I told you it would be astonishing!

Bedding is ordered

I ordered our bedding this afternoon. We ended up getting the Cherry Blossom pattern by Kidsline. It was on clearance at Baby Supermall and I ordered the 6 piece set (quilt, bumper, dust ruffle, sheet, valance, and diaper stacker), two canvases, an extra sheet, and extra valance, and a smaller blanket for less than $150. I can not wait for it to get here. It's supposed to ship on Monday and I didn't have to pay for shipping!!

The nursery furniture is being delivered on Thursday too! Plus, we got a letter today saying the merchandise that was special ordered, which was our rocking chair, is in and to call to set up a delivery time. Well, the lady was able to get the chair on the same truck as the crib and dresser so it will be here on Thursday too. Now if I could just get Corey in gear to start painting. I think we have decided to color match the green in the bedding for the walls. It's coming together so nicely. YAY!

It's a...

GIRL!

Everyone got their cards today so I can finally tell people. We are so excited. I was convinced it was a boy but she is definetly a girl! Here are the cards we sent out.

I can't tell you how excited I am. I would have loved a boy too but I have always wanted a girl. I'm such a girly girl myself which I think is why I want a little girl. I keep telling Corey that I see dresses, dance classes, dance costumes, dolls, and so on and then I told him I see BOYFRIENDS in our future. Being the protective daddy that he already his he repsonded with "I see boyfriends in jail". I have a feeling this little girl will have her fair share of embarrassing moments from daddy. We thought we had a name picked out until we knew it was a girl and now we just keep thinking of more that we like. Corey doesn't want to share the name anyway so it's probably good that we don't have one picked out yet.

Halfway there...

Yesterday was 20 weeks and our big u/s. We got a lot of good pictures of the baby and it's measuring right where it should be. I'm not going to tell the sex on here until the weekend since we told our family and friends through our Christmas cards and those just went out today.

Here is my little alien baby!

We Wish You A Merry Christmas!!

I decided to share some pictures of our Christmas decor. I would just like to say that I did all the decorating by myself while Corey was at work. I'm pretty happy with the way it all turned out. Here are the pictures.

You can't really tell but I used all metallic and glittery ornaments and stuck sprigs of red and silver sparkles in the tree.
This is on top of our hutch. I usually put the garland and lights up there but this year I added the cranberries and pinecones.
This is right inside our front door. I saw a picture someone else had of these trees and I had to get some. They came lit and in three different sizes and different color. They are my new favorite Christmas decoration.
This is a horrible picture, but I'm quite proud of this little gem that I threw together. I loved that tin when I saw it. I just added some real evergreen branches and then some jeweled cranberries. It's right beside our front door.

Job Interview

I had a job interview today! I interviewed with this school on Tuesday at a job fair and then went there today for another interview and a tour of the school. It's a kindergarten position and very close to my house. I really wasn't planning on looking for a job until the Fall but this one just happened to come along. I think it went pretty well, but we will see. Several other girls from my class interviewed for the same job too. If I get the job I would start a week from Monday! How crazy is that, I could be a teacher in a week!

19 Weeks

Almost half way there! I can't believe it. The baby is the size of a papaya this week, I think, I can't remember. Nothing really new to report. I'm still tired 90% of the time, but I'm learning to function despite the pure exhaustion. Next Wednesday is our ultrasound and hopefully this little person will show us the goods and we will know if it's a he or she. I can't wait to make Corey start painting the nursery. Here are this week's pictures. I think I'm going to stop doing a bare picture or at least stop posting it. It's starting to look scary.
